Update- Echo Chambers 2 new skin & sample rates +more
I sent out emails to all customers who bought this one, a few days ago. Here’s the updates-
*max did skins for N3 and N4, with the ability to switch between the various programs by clicking buttons.
*48/88.2khz added.
*CPU cost of the reverbs is now less than half what it was, because the multiple reverbs contained in each program have been parted out, and split up into separate programs. the reason i had mutiple reverbs in each program in the past was for convenience, so you could select between several different reverb choices quickly, without having to use nebula’s program finder list to pick the next one. now that we can have a GUI with program switching buttons for N4 as well as N3, we can just use the buttons to hear each reverb. also, parting out the reverbs like this makes the button UI work better than it would have, had i not done it. so this also really improves the organization/presentation and ability to audition every reverb quickly without getting confused.

*i’ve added two new shortened/faded versions of the crypt reverb, at Max’s suggestion. these give you another option in case you feel that the main crypt reverbs are too long.
*i’ve gone in and made sure that the impulses are all being ‘synched’ more perfectly, which had a few subtle results. One is that the harmonics are using their full lengths. In the old programs, part of the harmonic impulses was not being used. In some of the reverbs, there is even more of the actaul reverb early reflection portion being used, which was previously cut out. It’s actually a very subtle difference that i doubt anyone would actually notice, but the end results are more accurate.
*the early reflections can now be set above 100% loudness (which gives you exactly what was sampled), up to 200% loudness max. they still load at 100% by default.
*harmonic levels were adjusted to be more accurate.
Update- Echo Chambers 1 gets 48/88.2khz and new skin, plus major updates
*max did graphics/skin for N3 and N4, with the ability to switch between the various programs by clicking buttons.
*48/88.2khz added.
*CPU cost of the reverbs is now less than half what it was, because of the next 2 following points:
*the highest two harmonic kerns were removed from all programs because those harmonic orders were so low in level they weren’t really contributing anything but were using more CPU.
*the multiple reverbs contained in each program have been parted out, and split up into separate programs. the reason i had mutiple reverbs in each program in the past was for convenience, so you could select between several different reverb choices quickly, without having to use nebula’s program finder list to pick the next one. now that we can have a GUI with program switching buttons for N4 as well as N3, we can just use the buttons to hear each reverb. also, parting out the reverbs like this makes the button UI work better than it would have, had i not done it. so this also really improves the organization/presentation and ability to audition every reverb quickly without getting confused.
*i’ve added four new stereo versions of the Lancelot’s Tomb reverb (which was sampled in mono), at Max’s suggestion. two of them are just stereo mixes I did, combining various amounts of damp/undampened and bright/flat versions, across the channels. the other two were made with a little of the stereo mixing method, but also i used my Orban Stereo Synthesizer (which is actually just a pseudo stereo effect created with comb filtering) on the reverbs to give more stereo effect.

Update- Dual Springs (JVC/DepthXpander) 48/88.2khz and N4skins
This release has got 48khz and 88.2khz sample rates added. I also added official support for the N4 version to use the skins that allow switching between the programs by pressing buttons on the skin, which is much better than having to use Nebula’s program finder list to switch programs.

Update- Color Springs now with 48/88.2khz sample rates AND new skin
I actually released this update a couple of weeks ago and sent out emails for it then, so if you already owned this release you should’ve gotten an email for it. If not contact me!

Update- CupReels AX102
1) I’ve sent out emails for this update so if you didn’t get the email contact me.
2) The only thing this update does is lower artifact levels, as seen in analyzers like Plugin Doctor (which I really like and use heavily while developing my stuff). I believe the artifacts were already acceptably low, even for multiple passes, but I found a way to lower them further, so I did it. Now they’re verrrry low, mostly under -125dB, as shown on the harmonic distortion graph of Plugin-Doctor. Every dynamic Nebula program is going to have artifacts of some kind. The question is are they a problem, and I’d say no, not here. Especially after this update.
3) While I use Plugin-Doctor heavily, I want to say that its graphs can be misleading in some cases, with Nebula programs. This will give the time discounts on viagra to the public. Permanent changes to deep-rooted behaviours, habits and feelings can be achieved by addressing emotional blocks, hurts and old beliefs that may have been restricting a person’s life entirely. generic viagra without prescriptions What canada viagra no prescription makes sildenafil tablets powerful against impotence? While sildenafil is commonly used for treating high blood pressure, its active ingredient of PDE-5 inhibitor enzyme plays a pivotal role in managing a good health. WHY IS THERE AN INCREASE IN THE USE OF gel instead of tablets purchasing viagra australia and they have even reported to the doctor immediately. For example, I’m pretty confident that the artifact levels you can see on the harmonic graph, are not typically what you’re getting at any given moment, in actual use. I think in actual use, it’s even lower.
Basically, Plugin Doctor seems to be using lots of fast pulses to measure the harmonics (it also uses this method for the frequency response graph, which can be misleading there as well). What happens is that the harmonics graph is showing you something like a constant stream of ‘transients’, or a signal going from silence to a loud level, over and over. So the artifact levels seen are what happens during that kind of quick transition from really quiet or silence, to really loud. If you analyze a sustained tone, or even one fluctuating in level by a few dB, with something like Voxengo SPAN, you’ll see much lower artifact levels.
So I think what this means is that since most of the audio anyone is going to be processing with these programs is not like a series of never-ending transients, the level of artifacts is going to be even lower than what’s shown on the graphs of Plugin-Doctor. And now after this update I think even the levels shown in the graphs are very clean and low and outside of human hearing by many dBs, so it shouldn’t really be something to worry about.
Update- Raybon+Wyte HP/LP- skins +more!
Again, Max did new skins for this older release of mine, very cool, thanks Max! But there’s more! The main update I did here is to add 48 and 88.2khz versions:
*max did some skins! thanks max!
*added 48 and 88.2khz sample rates.
*i’ve removed high and low ripples where they were present.
*most any nebula program with dynamics will have some form of artifacts, due to the smoothing that’s needed. they’re usually pretty low in level and not a problem, but i’ve found a few ways to lower them further. i think the artifacts were already at acceptably low levels, but i’ve reduced them further and i think for all intents and purposes they can be called ‘artifact free’ even if that’s not technically true.

*i discovered that the T-BeeOne HP program had an additional but unused sampled HP setting. it’s the highest one, at 500hz. i added this back into the program. keep in mind that all of the hp settings besides the default one (at 70hz) were created using my ‘bionic’ sampling process, so they’re not exactly authentic to the hardware, as mentioned in the manual.
*i rebalanced the overall levels between the various sampled HP/LP filter positions in many of the programs. in some cases, adjusting the filter cutoff point would actually increase or decrease the overall gain level for the passband. now it should be almost perfectly consistent.
*i set the wyte HP 2 program so that it’s using ‘switchmode’ now, which means there is no smooth transition between the sampled positions. instead you just get a switch from each position to the next. the reason for this is because that program doesn’t transition as well between the sampled steps as the others do.
*pass through program was updated to be the same as the one i included in my recent ‘Cupwise Tone’ release. that release bundled all of my pass-through programs into one release with a skin allowing you to select them all very quickly, but for it, i also updated all of the pass-throughs to have ultra low artifact levels. so now that is reflected with the program included here, also.
Update- Yourei HP/LP skins and more
I’ve just sent out emails for yet another update to this library, with the main addition being skins, but there’s more:
- max added skins!
- most any nebula program with dynamics will have some form of artifacts, due to the smoothing that’s needed. they’re usually pretty low in level and not a problem (i think the artifacts were already at acceptably low levels here, mostly occurring well below -100dB), but i’ve found a few ways to lower them further. now they’re mostly well below -125 or even -150dB. this only applies to the ‘full’ versions, since the clean/lite versions already have basically zero artifacts. i think for all intents and purposes the full versions are now basically artifact free (although not technically, but they’re so low they just don’t matter, even with any sane number of multiple passes you’d never be able to hear them).
- I’ve switched the lp/cutoff control from using the first knob, to the second one, for the LP only programs. this is to keep it in a consistent position between all programs that have an LP filter, so it stays consistent when switching between programs with the skin (which has buttons that allow program switching). i’m pretty sure this should remain backwards compatible, so if you have old projects saved in your DAW using the older version, those should still load as they were (with the first knob used for LP control), but this may not always be the case (i can’t test with every daw).
- the programs had some level inconsistencies. when you’d adjust the HP/LP cutoff controls, the pass-band audio level would sometimes fluctuate a bit. in some cases up to 1dB. i’ve gone through every sample (over a thousand) and checked their levels and rebalanced them, so now the programs should remain almost perfectly constant in level. there are still minor fluctuations but they are usually within .1dB.

About the SHQ mode in my compressors
i sent out emails for updates for my Rayphlex compressor yesterday, completing all of my comps. now they all have instructions and skins included, to allow the program switching buttons to work on skins with N4.
i want to make one thing clear because i’ve had a few emails about this, but after you install these skins you are not supposed to ever open the compressor programs with the ‘finder’ button inside N4. you open them as their own plug-in (a custom copy of n4), and then you use the buttons/switches on the skin to select the various versions of the comp (hard/soft knee, lite/full/shq quality levels). the program switching happens without losing your settings on the controls (nebula normally resets all controls to default upon switching programs). the only thing you still use the finder for is to load the pass-through/tone programs.
about SHQ and why i offer it- yes it can take a long time to render using SHQ. it’s optional and the difference can be pretty subtle. the reason i’ve been providing SHQ programs for something like 6-7 years now, with my comps, is because nebula comp programs are pretty much always using really shortened kern/impulse lengths. this has always been required because they need faster progrates to allow for the necessary faster response to input levels. but you can’t get that with longer kern lengths, so very short lengths have always been the norm. they got shortened even more once using TIMED mode became the norm, which allows even faster progrates, and removes the artifacts that used to plague nebula comps. the problem with timed mode is it uses lots of CPU, so to get those benefits you need even shorter kern lengths (which use less CPU) than was used before when FREQD mode was the norm (and there were artifacts).
the shortened kerns don’t allow for as accurate a reproduction of frequencies under 1khz though. and this is going to be true with any compressor program using them, not just mine. it’s just a law of nebula/convolution in general. so my SHQ programs have always used more full, longer kern lengths, usually around 80ms, which allow a better reproduction of lower freqs. this can still be a subtle difference as the most obvious stuff is below 100hz. but the most obvious case is with the natural high pass filtering type of effect you normally see with just about any hardware. it simply can’t be reproduced with the kinds of short kern/impulse length settings typically used in nebula comps.
so i think this round of n4 skin updates is important to anyone who was interested in trying to use my SHQ programs for rendering but was always annoyed by the controls resetting in nebula when switching programs. now that doesn’t happen and all you have to do is click one button. again, shq difference can still be pretty subtle, but these skins also allow you to mix with lite mode and just switch to full mode for rendering if you choose to do that instead (which adds the subtle harmonics back in). really, rendering with any option is fine and it could even make sense to use lite mode in some cases if you want the cleanest/most transparent result with no harmonics.
anyway, here’s a couple of graphs showing the kind of difference SHQ mode makes-

Update for all of my compressors coming soon, allows program switch buttons in N4 skins
First off, if you’re still using Nebula 3, you can completely ignore this update, it won’t change anything for you.
Emails are going out to all C254E customers with the link for the updated files, right now.
With some help from Max I’ve updated my Nebula compressors skins to officially support installing and using the skins that allow program switching by clicking buttons in Nebula 4. This was always possible with the N3 skins but Max found out it can be done in N4 too. So now the skins that were formerly for Nebula 3 only, are replacing the simpler skins that I had made for use with Nebula 4, which don’t allow the program switching. The install of these skins is a little more complicated than it was for those simpler skins, but it’s absolutely worth it.

With these skins you can switch between lite, full, and SHQ modes with a single click, and you won’t even lose your settings (like you normally would when switching programs). The skins, when made, will show up in your plug-in list as all new plug-ins (custom copies of Nebula).
Max came up with the simplified install process of these skins for N4 as well as helping me test them after I implemented it. So huge thanks to Max! He has actually been showing people how to do this for a while now but I didn’t have time to look into it myself and do it ‘officially’. Max has been doing a lot to help push Nebula lately with his skin work, so you might consider checking out his patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/azzimov
I’m pretty sure I was told by Acustica a few years ago that the program selection buttons feature that was in my N3 skins, was removed from N4, which is why I originally had the simpler skins made for N4. Max found out that the feature is in fact still there, after all. I’ll be releasing these updates for my other compressors soon so stay tuned!
