Product Description
This library is available in 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96khz sample rates (you get all 4 sample rates when purchasing).
The main reverbs here are from a really nice vintage spring reverb rack unit, which has a 3 band EQ. I used the EQ to sample four different setups, which you can switch between. These give you different tones to work with. One of them was sampled ‘flat’, with no EQing, and the other three give you bassy and trebly alternatives.
I also used my ‘bionic’ process during sampling, which involves running the sampling tone sweeps through the unit at faster and slower speeds, with the end result being extra reverbs, with their frequency response shifted up or down. These four ‘bionic’ versions were also done with the same four eq settings as the main ones, so altogether there are 16 ‘bionic’ reverbs, which all sound different and range from very bassy to very trebly. Combined with the main ones, there are 20 different sounding reverbs from this unit altogether.
As a bonus I’ve included programs sampled from another spring, a piece of home stereo equipment, the Sansui RA-500. I also used the ‘bionic’ process for the RA-500, to produce an additional 6 reverbs of various ‘pitches’, higher and lower than the main spring reverb effect. The lowest bionic version here is very unique- it actually sounds like underwater bubbles. I think these RA-500 programs are really cool. They’re more than just a bonus, they really flesh out this library further.
Check out the audio demos to hear this spring in action!!!!
JPN made some really nice skins for Nebula 4, which are included. I’ve modified the skins so that now they allow program switching by clicking buttons on the skin, which is really convenient!

I got this free with the Smack Vu, wasn’t really interested in it at the time, just seemed like a good deal. But when i tried it out, oh my! Amazing! It has such a lovely and authentic sound, adds that analog vibe to anything it touches, especially if you are into that Jamaican Dub sound, classic! I have a few Nebula spring libraries, but this one really shines for me! It is the only Cupwise one i have, i need to check out the rest now. I hardly use the Smack Vu, but use these all the time. I was so impressed i made a video of all the programs: https://youtu.be/DhQrU1GQVvg Thanks for such an awesome library Tim! Much appreciated!

glad you like it, and thanks for the video! i’ve been doing spring releases since around 2011! you might want to check out color springs, it’s got a lot of interesting variations created by placing items on the springs, using other weird equipment while sampling, etc. and i think it could really lend to dubby sounds. also at some point i’m going to release samples of a space xpander, which people always say was used by king tubby. i always wanted to do one, and finally did a while back. i’m also going to pair it with another tube driven spring unit that i think is really awesome, has an instant ‘old’ sound to it. can’t promise when this will come out though. maybe my next release..
