Product Description
These over-driven cassette tape Nebula programs are presented as ‘compressor style’ programs, with thresh, attack, and release controls. Attack and release behaviors were taken from four of my compressor releases, and melded with these effects. So in a way, they are like hybrid cassette distortion/compressor effects.
The attack, release, and thresh controls are used to determine how much compression and tape saturation effect you get, and how it behaves. These are over-driven cassette tape effects, so they are mostly of a very lo-fi nature, with most of them having pretty significant high-frequency roll-off.
These programs provide a range of unique sounds that could be a very useful addition to your arsenal. These are for you if you like to experiment with tone and sound design. You can definitely get an identifiable trashy cassette sound out of these, but you can also get some interesting results that wouldn’t be possible with a cassette deck alone, with the attack and release controls.
Last but not least, this library comes with excellent custom skins by Max Ponomaryov, aka azzimov! (Check out his facebook group here) There are skins for both N3 and N4. Check out the product images to see them!
Here’s a really cool video by Max showing off all the programs in the library, as well as his super nice skin (n3 skin shown, unfortunately n4 doesn’t allow program switching with buttons, but the skins still look just as cool!).

The female vocal clips sound great – the undistorted versions round out the sound beautifully. I could see myself using this a lot with delays.
